Recently i've rented out to a website with a scammed account, well anyways this website told me i would gain compensation if the account were banned so 3 days later sure enough the account was banned due to the person who I scammed it from reported the account was going through different trades.
So when the website would not give me compensation i emailed blizzard saying i was hacked and i was had not been on for a few months. to get to the point the account was unbanned and on the account i found about 6k gold including items the website had farmed. I found a website that would pay for the gold and i made about 160 dollars USD for the gold + the money the renting website had paid me for the days they had rented my account
so just letting you guys know about my little story so hope it helped you guys

also, the person that was scammed can not get the account banned so your story has holes in it

well i mean if it was not the person who scammed me then it was probably the company or website i was renting the account to but still i gained some sort of income out of this.
