| Scamming a character buy site Did some searching on this scam. Not ALOT but spent some time searching didn't find it. So forgive me if it is a repost. The Scam Tools: An Account you want to sell A target site you want to scam All the information on account 2 new Unused CD-keys 1 WoW and 1 TBC The Execution: Ok, pretty simple. Goto a site that you can get a good price for with a quick transaction. Thsale, accounts.net are a couple off the top of my head. Tell them you have an account you want to sell them. Either fill out the character form or give them an armory link in live chat. They will give you a quote. Accept the quote or whatever. Now they will start asking you for all the account information. Give them all the information they want and you can lie on CD-key if you want but not at all needed. Now then they will ask you to change the e-mail over. So log into the account do the e-mail change process and clear it through your e-mail so their e-mail is on the account. Now stay logged into your account you are selling. hit buttons in it every so often to make sure you stay logged in. Wait till your payment is recieved (I know THsale pays within 30min of e-mail change), and then simply make a new account with the same name as the account you just sold. The next step is pretty easy to guess. While still in this account you JUST sold. Do a paid character transfer. I suggest actually waiting about 1-2 hours after the sale for the transfer though as they will be preparing it for auction for awhile after your sale. Now then just move the character to a new account and server (make a level 1 with a name matching the toon you are transffering so it's flagged for rename the second it gets there). Then Boom you got your char back for resale again. Not the same site though. This method does cost you a little more then some would like due to the 25$ transfer fee. but you can make that back with the 1 toon easy. I wouldn't suggest doing this more then 2 times MAYBE 3 with any one toon. Tips: I use paypal accounts that I create ahead of time so that I can send payments or money from them without being verified so that I can spend the money cause after they realize the character is gone they will recall payment so spend it and ditch that paypal. Don't use real info. on trash paypal accounts. Duh. Might be ok to get the account you sold banned somehow if you didn't lie about the CD-Keys so the site can't say "We didn't do this transfer, blah blah blah here is our info for OUR account" and take it back. Though not sure most sites would ass with that. and don't over do it for any one toon/account name anyways again if this is a repost I am sorry, I looked a bit didn't find it so thought I would post it as I was thinking about this tonight when I sold an account. I haven't done it yet, but my mate did it and it worked rather well for him. He made 365$ off 2 sales of same toon. Total profit of about 250$ after CD-keys and transfers were figured it. | You need an account you want to sell. And when you're ready to make the char. transfer, you create an trial account and on the realm you want to transfer your toon to, you make an level 1 with the same name as your 70 ( that you want to transfer ) .. And then you transfer it.. It will then ask you to choose a new character name, because of the name is in use. This a way to prevent paying for both the transfer and name change (: To: Torusbeast, I've waited soooo long for something like this to come up, but why isent it possible just to recall after the payment.. Like, give them the wrong last name.. Then they cant recall it! (: And ofcourse transfer the money to another paypal account after use d: ... Would this work? You could do it that way. But I was thinking that obviously that route has been done before. It's the most obvious one and I am sure sites like that are EXPECTING things like that to happen. In fact I am sure they might even transfer toons to new accounts after so long so they need the real info. anyways that way just seemed to obvious to me. So this way it's more of a sneak attack surprise mother *******! Glad you liked it! |
