Sweet scam, had a 100% success rate so far with 4 scams, Large prismatic shards + Primal Water = better than mark of sargeras on my server.

be a bit careful, friend and myself got 3hours bans and had some gold removed for doing this too much (10 or so mails sent out in 2 days, himself 5 send in 1 day) on EU servers.

Nice Ill try this out once the maintence is over on a scammed account. Anyone know the ban chance of this and if I send the gold to main account and scammed account gets banned will my gold be taken away or will my main account get banned or suspended also?

Ban chance is probably high on the account you scammed with (just a 3h ban to start with), they ofc can track the gold that it was sent from and to, i scammed on a fresh lvl 1 (on my main acc) and then sent the gold to my main (on same acc), they banned my acc for 3 hours and removed some of the gold from my main, probably just the gold that was the final ticket that let to my 3h ban. They don't take all of the gold that was from cod payments, just some (think 700g was taken = 2-4 ppl scammed) and i was left with 700g of scammed gold.

So in essence, they'll see where the gold comes from, ban the responsible account(s) and remove the gold from the characters, probably not every piece of it but a chunk imo.

Heres another idea, I didn't see if anyone said it yet. But, last I checked if you gbank the gold on the bank, and have a person on your real account be the owner, and then clear your cache and do the other stuff and etc. You have less chance of being caught, AND as far as I know Blizzard doesn't remove gold/items from gbanks under any circumstances, so even if you got caught on your main you'd most likely be able to keep the gold.



Also, i'd remake the scam name you used on a trial account instead of your main or etc. This way you have EVEN less chance of getting caught and you can still screw up their logs.

nice mate! although id strongly advise anyone wanting to try this useing a scammed account ect to avoid ban!
This scam is getting abit "old hat" in terms of post TBC scams but in saying that is the only one i can see carrying on post lich king and beyond as there is no obviouse way to halt it.
So happy scamming!!
