[NO QUESTIONS HERE] We do not condone scamming, this section is meant for people to read about scamming so they can prevent being scammed themselves.
Now, this is a combination of a few scams out there. This is more of a set it and forget it sort of deal. Everyone has seen the youtube videos saying theres a secret way to get accounts via tricking the "wow email bots" into sending you names and passwords and you just put in your fake email and voila.
Well, going along with this idea, setup your phishing site of choice.

For this particular one I just finished setting up the above WOTLK Beta phishing site. Now, simply make a video in your favorite video editing program. I used Windows Movie Maker to make mine. I enticed them with some epic-style music in the background (music from Guild Wars, actually) and then spliced in a few pictures of the Phishing site itself and some clips from the WOTLK trailer.
It doesn't need to be nearly that complicated but simply another possibility of scamming some folks. I have my video stating to click the link to the right and there I used tiny url (as co.nr is down atm) to mask my phishing url. I've snagged only 1 account so far but the video has only been up for a night.
Some precautions: Register on youtube with fake info (duh). Make sure you set your options for the video itself. This includes not allowing for video responses and only allowing comments to be posted after YOU review them. This means you can create a bunch of fake accounts and spam your comments with positive things or have your friends do it! This will make it more believable to those who visit as well. Also, disable rating, but doubt that matters much.
Like I stated before, this is just another thing to setup for your phishing site. It will only serve to add views to your phishing page and increase the likelihood that someone will pop in their info.

Edit: The embedded video doesnt seem to work, says its unavailable. If you click on it though and bring up YouTube it works. As to why...I've no clue =(

I just tossed it up from that other scam but I'll go look it over, probably should have done that beforehand =) Thanks for the comments guys, keep em comin.
And for the video, it's quite poor and I suggest you dont use windows movie maker to make them. Besides, youtube is bombed with these videos, so it's stupid to be there where everyone else is. But nice idea though.
Not saying to stop just at youtube, you can easily upload it elsewhere. Like I said, you toss it up and it does the work for you while you worry about other means of scamming. Any improvement ideas for the video?
Yeah, all additional comments just aid in the endeavor. I got off work today to another 6 accounts. I forgot to originally change my log file (oops) and a few of the accounts had been pillaged already. Lesson learned, change the name of your log files!
