My name is Jake and I will guide you through not only the Psychology of a Victim about to be scammed(or already scammed), but the Scammer him/herself.
When scamming through a chat system (AIM for example), you have a vast list of signs that may increase your chances of gaining access to that account.
Some things to look for in your Victim if they ARE Suspicious:
- ~Long Pauses Inbetween Sent Messages ~Aggressiveness (Self-Explanatory) ~Disbelief (IE : Asking things such as "Are You Sure?", or "Really?") ~The Trader attempting to Power-Trip upon you

~ ~Aggressiveness : Stay calm, & do not fight back, or make yourself look better than them in any way. Let them work themselves down until they are no longer aggressive(Trust me, this can make a DRASTIC difference upon your scam/trade. (CONTINUED)---Also~Play what is now know as "The Jedi Mind Trick" :
If your victim starts complaining about how badly theyre foot huts from a Basketball game, start talking about Basketball, and your favorite team/player.
Or, If your victim starts saying "lawl", or "Lmfao", start copying him very slowly, and inbetween every other "lol", say "Lawlz", or "Lmao". This is a subliminal way in gaining your victims trust behind their back.
~Disbelief : A way to stop this from even beginning is to not choose an offer that is WAY above what they have. (For example, if they are trading a 67 hunter in blues/greens, offer them a 70 Warrior in Some epics/Blues) If you show/offer them a char thats way above their game, (IE : A level 70 rogue in full S3 with a Netherdrake and 25kg, they will become very suspicious upon your trade.

SOME THINGS YOU CAN TELL ABOUT YOUR VICTIM TO GAIN ADVANTAGE:
If your victim starts talking fast and rushing you, studies show that people who rush you are 15% more likely to rip you off. (Strange, huh? Those results are not made up)
If your victim says, Yeah, nice,sweet,cool, awesome, what do we do next?, now what, lets do this quick, I g2g soon, etc., the person is likely to be a Newbie at trading(When I say sweet, cool, awesome, I'm meaning that they say it repeatedly.
HOW TO TELL IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS GOING TO BE RECALLED BEFORE YOU EVEN TRADE:
If the person your scamming is a scammer him/herself, then here are some precautions to take:
-If the "Alledged scammer lets you on "His" account quite fast and before you let him on yours, the account is likely to be one of the following.
1.A stolen account 2.An account that he will recall directly after the trade
HOW TO CHECK IF THE GIVEN SECURITY QUESTION IS CORRECT DIRECTLY AFTER THE TRADE:
Login to your WoW account, click on Parental controls, and enter the given security question. If it is correct, you will then be led onto the parental control options page. If it is incorrect, you will recieve and error in red text, and the given Security answer is FALSE or Mistyped(Most likely False lol)
