So for a few a days i was just going from guild to guild taking things. Now i decide to tell you how I do it. (might not be the best way but works for me)

1. Join a new guild.
2. whisper the GM for and say "hey could i ask you for a quick favor"
3. then say "I have this mod where i load all the guild chat into its own box because its really hard for me to see a few colors and ive already change the party, general and whisper colour so i need this add on but the only problem is i need to be a higher rank to load all the ranks below me so could you upgrade my rank like 1 -2 higher to do it(What ever rank you want ur choice)"
4. after talking for a little while and saying sorry and how you know this is shady they will do it and you can take their stuff
5. ENJOY

Any GM would be an idiot for falling for this.

And if they did, they don't deserve to be a GM. And if they ARE a GM, there isn't anything worthwhile in the gbank anyways...

So basically you join a new guild with a 50+ char and beg a higher-up to promote you because of some chat mod error?

I stand by my original statement, that any GM that promotes a new user because of some chat mod error deserves to have their gbank robbed.

I would never fall for something like this, but hey, some people are dumb.

And I have not doubted that it worked for you. All I'm doing is stating that your 'scam' has big holes that need to be filled in order for this to work on a more consistant basis.

If this scam works for you, then enjoy. But I do call out others on obvious flaws in their scams/exploits. It's what I do. Live with it. I can definitely see the possibilities in this scam, I'm simply pointing out how, in certain circumstances, it may not work.
