Please i know it's a repost, instead saying it's a repost i'd appreciate some comments how if it was successful or not when you tried it. (I REWROTE it in my own words and put in some of my ideas to clarify how the scam is done)
Okay basic idea is to make an alt on any Server you want. (usually a server with a character you actually play on) Then to get that alt into a raiding/big/rich guild.
Step 1: Finding a good guild to scam.
Usually if you search the WoW realm forums there are guilds recruiting etc. and with guild progression threads. Choose a guild with about 100+ members. Not too much because the trust within the guild is consuming less than in a guild with 300+ members.
Step 2: Finding a name to go with.
Now you have to be logged in on WoW to do this. Check to see if any members of their guild is offline with atleast Rank1 or Rank2 within the guild.
Make sure also that there is someone online that can invite you to the guild and rank you up to rank 1 or rank 2 status so you can withdraw from guild bank.
Step 3: Making an alt with that name.
Make the name something with <name>bank, so that they trust you more.
i.e. if the name was Rogar. Then you would make your alt RogarBank.
Step 4: Getting into the guild
Add the person your impersonating onto your friends list and the name of the officer your getting to invite you to guild. (incase that the guy your impersonating gets on you can abort before being recognized as a fake)
Whisper the officer something like this:
Me: "Hey its <name>."
Me: "Invite me to guild i need to put some mats into guildbank =]."
Officer: (usually says something about hold on and invites you to the guild)
Step 5: Run to City and check GBANK
You should do this right away if you want to be really careful. As in when you create your alt run to a nearby city and be next to bank then whisper the officer. If you cant withdraw from the gbank then this is why you choose someone to impersonate with rank 1 or rank 2 so you can ask the guild leader to promote you. Just say something like:
"Hey i accidentally put something in gbank and i need to get it back"
He will promote you and feel free to take whatever.
IMPORTANT: some banks have a withdraw limit. Find that limit and withdraw the most expensive items. If there are multiple items just withdraw all of them. Then deposit them all minus 1 stack.
Step 6: Be cool don't let them think your someone else
After you get what you need you can just get gold from someone around the bank and transfer to other character. Then delete the character. ( i do not know for certain if this makes you unbannable)
I have so far not been banned and you can use Sineater's guide to laundering gold.
