If you're scamming someone by, i.e. buying their account or selling one.
If the scam backfires, for some reason and you're the one getting pwned, there's a simple way to fix it if the person you're talking to is less intelligent.
What you need to do is have him on MSN/AIM, and figure out his IP. This can be done by several softwares that you can google, but you can also use a simple CMD command.
Hit Windows button + r, type "CMD" without the quotation marks, then type "netstat" without the marks. There you will see a list of all IP's that you are currently connected to or sending data to/reciving from. The easiest way to find the MSN one, is to close as many internet applications as possible, and try to send a file/use webcam/play a game/whatever with your contact, so you transmit a lot of data. When you've figured out his ip from the Netstat list, you go to a lookup page; too see where his IP is registerd to.

If you type in the IP there, you will get information about his ISP, including, but not exclusivly, Zipcode, State/province/, country, and also region.
This can be used in the process of scaring the scammer, by threatening to call the police / call his/hers parents / file an abuse-report also report his own account to blizzard.
EDIT: sorry.. these sites arent very good, i just tried to find my own IP andress and neither knew anything about it... its just a regular non proxied IP
The location that you will get is the one of his provider's router(mostly cisco/juniper) hat manages his internet access. These boxed maintain thousands of clients each one, it will just give you a kind tip on who he lives nearby. Anyway you _may_ fuzz these boxes, if you're lucky (and crazy enoough) they will crash and that faggot looses his inet access for bout half a day ^^
