Ok I was wandering around IF trying to think of a scam so i coul get my damn leecher tag off =D
I was thinking about how faulty some of the AH scams are...and i had an idea of a way you could improve your % of succes with this mediore scam.

Step 1.) Go to the AH find a twink item, or another item that is rarely seen or a item that there is only one of on the AH.

Step 2.) Buy it. lol

Step 3.) Now come up with a new price for the item, preferably one believeable. For example a Shadowfang on my server [19 Twink sword] goes for roughly 300g. You could relist i at 400-500

Step 4.) [KEY] Semi spam trade chat for like 10 minutes or so saying that ur selling the item on the AH and that u wanna try to Sell it before you log. Do this for a while and just make t known that you are selling it.

Step 5.) Put the item in the AH for the price u adverted in Trade and make one final Spam saying that your logging and the Item is on AH.

Step 6.) [The Seller] Kill some time, about 10-15minutes or so and hop alt. Spam trade chat that you're Looking for a Shadow Fag and that you'll pay mor than what you orignially marked up on ur main. [Of course they wont now is your main.

NOTES: No of course someone could easily buy it whie ur trying to sell it onyur main which is great. Item sold, moneyin your pocket =D. Also i do realize people will be like "Theres one on AH" Just simpy tell them yourAuctttioneer is messed up and youcat see it. Thank the for the knowledge, or try to use some socal skills and ask them if they will buy the item and you'll give them a finders fee.

Of course this wont wor al of the time but i think the things i have added will increase your success rate. And the key to pulling of any great scam is your social skills so be nice, polite, and professional =D

I find this scam easier to do if you have a second account. Log onto both accounts and lightly spam that you have it up for sale on the AH. After about 10 mins, use your 2nd account and ask in trade for that item and are willing to pay big gold for it. At the same time, have your main char somewhere far away from any major city. This would "throw off the dogs".

I know I would check to see if the person spamming that they have an item for sale is still online...I'm always on the lookout for scams. Most people that would check would trust that no scam was attemted and is more likely to impulse buyout to make that quick profit instead of whispering you to tell you there is one on the AH.

Think about it, one person is spamming and item is for sale for 300g on the AH... then this person is offline and another person is spamming they want to buy that same item for 500g. seems fishy to me.
