I've seen some free gametime scams around here, but none of them had this approach.
I apologize right now if this is a repost (didn't find anything like this).
Now to the scam:
Requirements:
1. Frozen WoW account
2. Access to your Parental Controls
3. SQ/A
What to do:
1. Login on account management and go to Parental Controls
2. Activate them, and choose a mail you are in control
3. Put the access to the account in "All Red"
4. Go to an IRC channel, or WoW (if you are advertising on IRC, don't say the "ON THIS SERVER"
5. Advertise this:
Code: GIVING AWAY FREE FROZEN ACCOUNT! LVL 70 UNDEAD WARLOCK ON THIS SERVER!
PST FOR MORE INFO!
IT HAS NO GAMETIME
6. Give the guys that whisper you your msn to talk there
7. Give him the username and password, a FAKE CD-Key, and a FAKE last name, tell him you lost the access to the email, and forgot the SA
8. Wait between 2 days to a week before recalling the account
9. Enjoy the free game time
Why to do this?
- You've added the parental controls to make sure they cannot do any harm to your account, although they CAN do some harm such as: PCT, canceling account (if you know more, please tell me, ill add it here).
- You must reinforce the fact that the account has no game time, since the parental controls warning shows up before the "no game time" warning.

Since you added parental controls, and placed the allowed play time in all red (aka you cant play), they cant login on your characters, so there is little to zero risk. |
