fish has come into the thread scared the shit out of Ry and now Ry has closed down his "team" alltho me and fish know alltho he can get the IP it is a crime to give his personal details across the internet without the owners concent. not many people know that and when someone threatens to "call your mommy cus they have ure IP" you can turn round and tell them sure and then ill call the cops for slander, possibly ID theft amoung other things.

You don't understand the IT field or Law Enforcement very well do you. If I have your IP I can email your ISP with proof that you are a scammer, some will release your parents info at that point, others will send you a warning or terminate service and send mommy an letter about canceling your service due to illegal activity.

Feel free to call the cops and tell them I am going to call your mom if you scam, they will laugh at you.

Oh trust me i understand both very well and we both know, sending an email to anyone ISP about scamming on a VIDEO GAME they will look at the email for about 10 seconds maybe? there is no law agasint scamming in world of warcraft, therefore they cannot legally provide you with any information reguarding adress phone number whatever, and no people with half a brain would more than likely get your IP and report it for slander with solid proof. Whitch in turn means u could be sued if proven guilty. Also, you could not provide "solid proof" of those scamming, what are you going to do? link them a topic on a forum? Gimme a break.

Don't be so sure. All I have to do is show the time I put into the account and what my time is worth. Like I said it varies from state to state but in the end it all falls under federal law. Also if you don't think ISP's will play ball then you are nuts. They can be held liable is they are presented with evidence that you are breaking the law using their service. Also any scam involving money (you post a WTS 70 Geared Warrior, I send you $500 and you block me) can get you actual pound me in the ass prison time (chances are it won't on a first offense but have fun explaining why you have a federal felony on your record to colleges and employers.)

The bottom line is every time you scam an account you are playing Russian roulette with your future.
