Ok, well I just sold the account on which my paladin has been banned for nearly 3 months for $165. I decided I might as well show the mmowned community my scam, and so here I am!
First step: Get your banned accounts info, you must have all of it for this to work.
Second Step: Find a target site to sell your account to, such as THSale, which I did this scam with.
Third Step: Go to "Sell accounts" and put in the banned characters information.
Fourth Step: Enter Live Chat with one of the company reps, and the fun begins.

Sure enough, a couple hours later I had the cash in my paypal and I am home free I am now gonna use all this cash to go buy gold for one of my other 70s for an epic flyer

My account sale is pending on accounts.net as well, if it sells well then i just made another $207 Good thing is also that this is not illegal, you are in fact selling them an account, just one that they wont be able to use.
Hah, I have a banned account with 3 70s on it, Tier 5 Pally, Tier 4/5 Rogue, Merc Glad warrior, and a 61 Warrior, I wonder what I could get with that if I had the balls to scam :P
