i got some gold off the Turtle mount scam, and i wanted to post some things ive been doing:

When advertising, don't sound like you are a chinese farmer, try to speak proper english. I have a character on Bloodscalp (hunscalp) and most of the times i get hungarian whispers. I just tell them to speak english, that makes you look like your are serious with business.

I use this template when advertising:

/2 WTS WoW TCG Codes! We have Spectral Tiger (x2); Turtle Mount (x4); Fireworks (x5); Tabard Frost/Fire (x10/x10); Ogre Trinket (x3); Monkey Pet (x1); Imp in a Ball (x3). /w for more info!

If you want to sell other items, just add them in the template (make sure its small enough to fit in the chat box though)
and the following prices:

Spectral Tiger - 1500g (with 2) 2000g (with one)
Turtle mount - 500g (with 4) +250 for each sold  and +500 when only one left (750/3; 1000/2; 1500/1)
Fireworks - 500g (Fixed Price)
Tabards - 400g (Fixed Price
Ogre - 500g (Fixed Price)
Monkey - 2000g (Only one)
Imp in a Ball - 750g (with 3) +250 for each sold and +500 when one left (1000/2; 1500/1)

Also, when people ask me the prices, i always tell them (Spectral tiger i.e.):
Scammed: Spectral Tiger price?
Scammer: 1500g because we only have 2, when that one is sold, the price will rise to 2000g!
and so forth...
Change the prices if you like, if the people on your server are broke

I've made a script (two actually) for mac, to generate random codes for this scam (based on the template LLLLLL-######-LLL### L=letter #=number, i cant remember where i saw this though)
All you need to do is Copy->paste the applescript below into Script Editor, and press "Run" it will display 9 letters/numbers that you can use .

if you read the stickies, you would realize that this is only an addon, and the actual scam is posted above. also, this is scamming its obivous that there is the possibility to get scammed. i personaly haven't, and so havent many others

If you play on european servers You can get banned for scamming.

the script editor for this is the Script Editor that comes with Mac OSX. (thats why the [Mac] tag) its made in the Applescript language. IF you have a Mac, you can find it under: Applications/Applescript (that is where mine is anyway) it can also be under Applications/Utilities

However, more and more people realise this is a scam, I usually do this at night with less people to react/report on it which seems more safe, also I use a second account.

WOOT, just hacked an account now gunna do this about a billion time again, i do this every time i get a new account, ussually a 3 day ban, but w/e.... not my account
