OK so I'm trying this out right now, we'll see what happens.

On almost every server there's a gold delivery person that sells something that you can get at level 1 like Refreshing Spring Water for like 25g on the AH, and then the gold farmer buys them out to get the money to the delivery person.

On my server there's a guy that does this, he sells that water for 26g 40s and it gets bought out every time (according to my add on). His name is Nazgrwash (character name).

My idea is to...

1. Make a character with a name very similar to the gold delivery person, like in my server, I might make one like Nazgrwassh or Nazgrrwash.
2. Get an add-on like Auctioneer or Wowecon and set it to alert you when these auctions get bought out.
3. When they get bought out, rush to the AH on your new char and put up auctions with the same item, same amount (in my case Refreshing Spring Water for 26g 40s).
4. Wait and see if the gold farmer actually buys it .

It all depends on how careful the gold farmer is, and how good his/her eyesight is .

Post your opinions here, but remember, don't go and do this and wait 5 seconds and come post that it doesn't work.

Set it to go for 24 hours, if it runs out after that THEN you can post that it doesn't work .

But make sure that these auctions are actually getting bought out, cause it could just be some persistant noob lol.

EDIT: Sorry, made it a bit confusing. By gold farmers, I meant the farmers getting the gold for companies selling gold.

Thats a great idea! I would have tried it, but there isn't any "offers" like this at the AH (Since im not so active on the forums; i read alot instead, i cant )

This won't work anymore. Blizzard caught on to Gold Sellers using the AH as a way to transfer gold to players, and thats why when you sell something on the AH there is a 1 hour wait period before you actually get your gold.

Obion15: This is a repost? I tried to find something like this, but I didn't see anything on the first few pages.

And as for the 1 hour wait time thing, the AH is still used as a way to transfer money.
A lot of places keep the delivery people regularly stocked by feeding them like thousands of gold at a specific time every day.

Also, if you have ever tried to buy mass gold, they say they don't have that much in stock sometimes. The live support/phone support usually tells you to wait 90 minutes to 2 hours. That's so that they have enough time to buy the stuff on AH and then wait the 1 hour for their gold.

Sorry for the long reply, just wanted to make it clear that they still do use AH for transferring gold .

Remember guys, some of those people you may have found might just be noobs trying to get loads of cash.

Before I waste my time trying it, I set up my addon for 1 or 2 days to see if anyone buys it out.

It's not necessary, but it does help sort the noobs from the gold dealers .
