How to Scam a GM

Requires:
-being a lick ass

lol guess what just happened. i vendored everything i own... from lvl 60 tier 3 epics to lvl 70 epics (edited). Also all of the items i had previously including enchanting mats and all.... also what i did was unlearn my profession. Then i sent all the money to my alt... the nenxt day i logged in and sent a msg to a GM saying " last night i came back from a party and was drunk... could you please restore my items..." then talked to the GM who said he will elevate the matter to the people in charge of this. i then logged out and didn't logg in for a couple of days... Then when i logged on i received 23 pages of mails with all my items included... now here is the catch

if you want to try this be VERY convincing and do it at a realistic time period and all... Blizz checks those things i suppose... btw i did this twice...
btw... the items i vendored were expensive epix and i got alot of money because of the high vendor price

i didn't have to pay to get them back since i had no money on that character

free gold from Blizzard ftw

Re: How to Scam a GM

I really don't think this will work every time. And it will be caught pretty quickly.
Not to mention, I think this GM felt sorry for you or something, because normally they will only restore so many items.

Re: How to Scam a GM

In other words, You got 20-30 gold from your gear and waited a few days doing nothing, then got it restored? I gotta say, You coulda made 5x that ammount by merely questing / grinding in the couple days you had no gear (Much more, actually).

PS: Theres a chance blizzard will not restore your gear, And you'll get completely screwed. Not worth the risk imo =\

Re: How to Scam a GM

Hmm and also if you vendor your items blizzard will send them back with a C.O.D on them for the price they were vendored for reguardless if you have gold on your character or not, so all the money that you "made" from vendoring epics or w/e would just be spent buying them all back.

Re: How to Scam a GM

I wouldn't call this a scam, since GMs do restore items, but only like 4 or 5 times per an account max.
Don't even really think it's worth it, since you'd get more money in that time by farming some stuff or questing than selling your gear, just my opinion.
