Name-Change Guild Scam.

First of all find a wealthy guild to join or all ready be in one. Don't join a new guild and do this the same day it will never work.

Step 1
Log in and quickly take off all your gear, put it in bag/bank.

Step 2
In guild chat type something like " OMG I just logged on and my character is naked "

People will say "hacked" and "open a ticket".

Step 3
In guild chat say you spoke with a GM and you a not gonna get your stuff back because your account was compromised. Ask people for donations of anything they can give to help you.

Step 4
Work this over the next day or so and collect your free loot from guildies.

Step 5
/gquit and use the name change feature. Hopefully you got more than 10$ worth of gold. Join a new guild!

**This scam can be used with-out the name change just simply /gquit but it may cause you to get a bad rep on your server when your old guildies see you in a new guild with all your old gear.**

its a new feature in your account management page on the warcraft homepage. Change your name for ten bux. Its not open to all servers yet.

Good idea, oh, you don't actually have to leave the guild though, you can still wear your old gear even. Wait a few days, I guarentee they won't remember you didn't run any instances, say you ran some/quested and got gear back lol. I did this on my questing greens/blues warrior and made 1k gold in 3 hours.

Yep. This also works great with a scammed account to get a bunch of free extra stuff before you d/e everything.
