Well, im havin a thought here...
SO you want to scam someone?
Spam trade channel, saying things like"WTS mongoose bring mats" or "spellstrike hood ur mats my nether." When you get an unsuspecting customer, go to the wow site, and change your name. (unfortunatly this costs some cash), 10 bucks, but you get those mats and a changed name, and the victim has no idea what happened. and your name is changed! just an idea, i would try it if my account wasn't stolen :P but try this out could work well!!! |

Don't u think blizzard will have a log of all the namechanges.
He just report ur old name, blizzard watches log's and boom banned ur level 70 and lost 10 bucks. U could better buy gold with it. |

Yea, they implemented a new service where you can change your name for paying $10. The oboards are angry over the whole thing, not so much about the scam side of things, since that is easily tracked, but the whole ninja thing. I think the point that they made it cost $10 to change it should stop people from doing this. |

its just an idea, i didn't say it worked...
and u can find the name changer on the wow website, just go to account info and in there is a tab for changing names.
There is only a few realms available for name changes tho |

What about PCT / Free Migration, then name change and PCT / Migrate back?

Well this isnt a bad idea if you have 10 bux to spare just for some gold, and a possible ban from some mats, but if you do this would probably work.
Plus, it has a 90 day cooldown period.

What would the outcome be? Your original name would be reported, the Game Master would investigate it and find that you used the name change service. You would still get actioned. This won't work. |
