Alo scammers,

This scam is very nice, and very easy. All you need is a friend, a crappy weapon, and a price.

First, buy 2 crappy green weapons from the Auction House and equipt them. Have your friend buy another one.

Next find your mark, someone with crappy weapons. Approach them and ask "hey mate, wanna see something cool ". If they say yes, tell them the following.

alrighty then, heres how this will work. You pay me 100g right now, I tell my mate to make you your weapon, he gives it to me, I check it, you get it, give me the other 50g, and then you walk out far stronger

Now have your mate go to the AH and buy a crappy weapon of the type your mark requested. He comes out to you [I do this in Orgrimmar mind you, by the mailbox] 10 minutes later and asks "is that him?". You say "yeh". he asks, "can we trust him?". you reassure him that as long as you supply the goods, there's no reason to not trust anyone.

So before I give this to you, I want to get a few things clear. You are not to use this in any duels or you may be banned for doing 4000 dps. If you want to test it, you can, and I'll refund your money for 1 day. It doesn't look any different because if I edit the .txt files, you could be banned if a GM sees it and that would ruin my rep. This works best if you are using a scammed character that is a high level. No one trusts a lvl 1, but a lvl 50+ will be convincing. If you are wearing the merchandise, it doubles the believability. Basically, even if he did report you, it wouldn't do any good since it would look like this

It's basically a win/win situation if you can sell them on these 3 things
I. Its a hacked weapon tailored to their fancy
II. you didn't make it look any different because you don't want to get a customer banned and ruin your reputation
III. they can get a refund if it doesn't work.

I've taken this to a new level and waited around until they say "IT DIDNT WORK!!!!!". Then I say "oh god damnit he probably didn't edit the .wir files again! Hey I'll make you two more on the house, just 50g for my time and the base weapons."

So on top of the 150, I get another 50 and therefore my original quote

You bring up a good point. If anyone tries this, you have to balance the lure [amazing weapon] with reality. Use caution because if you exaggerate too much, you can **** it up and fail
