1. Get a prepaid credit card, and add $5, or some other nominal value to it.
2. Setup a paypal account using fake information, and add the prepaid card as your payment method.
3. Find an account that you want.
4. Message the person and offer them more than what they have listed on the account.
5. They say yes.
6. You 'send' payment using your fake paypal account.
7. The payment shows up as sent in their paypal account.
8. They give you all information to the account.
9. You transfer anything you want off that account using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
That's basically all there is to it. Eventually I'm sure it will show that they only received $5, or whatever you put on the prepaid card, but by that time the toon you wanted will be long gone from the account.
If or when they recall the account, you could add insult to injury and try sending them a phisher.
lol get the name from the prepaid... trace the name to your adress... FBI knocks on the door... OWNED
Ok, that would be like buying drugs with counterfeit money and then the dealer calling the cops on you. They are selling something that isn't theirs in the first place. And if you are the only person with your name, then you are a rarity.
Also, if everyone is so worried about eh 'FBI' GTFO the scams forum. Why does everyone think the FBI comes? I doubt they would care about a WoW Account that was illegally sold anyways.
Also, put a fake name on the card, or get one the cards from Wal-Mart or something where you don't have to put a name.

and no, the FBI won't have anything to do with this.. they have bigger issues than a couple hundred bucks that some poor kid lost because he didn't take enough precautions when transferring data, which doesn't even belong to him in the first place. it belongs to blizzard.
Man I'm tired of those posts that goes like :
-..cops will knock on your door
-..you will be sent to jail
-..THAT'S A CRIME!!!
Well, it's kind of obvious that stealing someones account is a crime, isn't it? Now my question is, if you are such a good guy, who DON'T want to scam anyone, why the hell do you hang around here? This is the scam section, here we discuss how to STEAL someone's account or stuff on the account, and we don't give a shit about the consequences, cause there ain't any.
If someone can give me a proof that anyone has been sent to jail by stealing a wow-account then let me know, will ya?
Actually, it is fraud and you can go to jail. Not because of the WoW factor, but because of the money factor.
Also, I don't really see how this scam would work at all. Paypal would try to pull the money from the card, then find out the card didn't have the money and tell you it could not receive the funds. You could send the person $5, but I'm pretty sure they would read the email and see that they only got $5.
Paypal credit only works if you have a standing account. Also, you wouldn't be a verified user with paypal, because you need to have a bank account set up.
I call bullshit on the entire scam. It's easier just to buy the account using paypal and then reverse the transfer. They can't prove any goods were transfered and you win.

You can't reverse payments on digital goods. Paypal always backs the seller.
I totally agree with everyone saying "GTFO of the scamming section", but... This IS an issue where the police CAN come to your door.
If you don't have enough money in your CC, and you continue buying things, that is illegal. Some websites don't have ways in tracking how much money you have in the CC, but many websites do. Good idea for an account scam though.
I don't normally say that ^
In other words, that IS credit card fraud. And it doesn't matter if it's a WoW account or not. That can land you jailtime.
I completely doubt that will happen, it'll probably work. Just watch you don't do it too much.
" This isn't a game... There's no points, winners or losers "
" Oh there's losers. "
I counted 6 FBi/fraud posts. Yay? Seriously people, if youare uptight about fraud/scamming/exploiting, then wtf are you doing on MMowned? Ever read the description 'Exploits, Hacks, Bots and Guides' ? Which when read between the lines = scams too. If you can't handle the pressure of scamming, gtfo.
