Ok, just thought of this the other day....tell me what you think.

Requirements:
1. You must be the Master Looter.
2. Make a spam macro that takes up the whole chat window.

Explanation: This should work extremely well for endgame instances.
Everyone has been on Strat/LBRS/UBRS/Scholo, or whatever. Now, as a Master Looter YOU are the only one who can see blues or purples that drop and it is your responsibility to link them in party chat. But if you are a dirty ninja looter....who cares.

Procedure: Random blue BOE drops off a trash mob in an instance, as Master Looter YOU are the only one who knows it is there. All you do is click the item, and click your name to give it to yourself. Then immediately activate your completely random Spam macro to get the message stating that you recieved the item off everyone's screen. Now you have the blue and nobody even knows it ever dropped.

If you are discovered: Now if somebody happens to notice you got it before your spam macro or they scroll up and see that you looted the item, they will probably say something like, "WTF?! Ninja!" Play it dumb. Reply with "?". They will then explain the accusation that you just grabbed up a blue/purple BOE. Reply again with "I know.....It's a BoE, I'm holding it till end...."

Bingo! Can't get a bad rep if you play your cards right.

whats the point why not just take the items and kick everyone out after so they have like 50 seconds to get out of the instance before they hearth unless they are your friends then ok

Like a large number of WoW players, I keep my loot window seperate from my Chat Log and Combat Log.

Well maybe someone in your party does this. They will inevitably say something if that is the case. Then you just act like you weren't ninjaing it, simple. And BoPs all come from bosses (as far as I know), therefore people are gonna be waiting for you to show them what dropped. If it is a BoE from a trash mob, such as a set of Beaststalker's Bracers dropping from some Ghoul in Strat, nobody will be expecting anything to drop, so they will not be careful to pay attention to the chat/looting.

Or, even better, if something does drop, don't loot it just yet and most of all don't say anything. If someone is smart and knows that if there's something still on the body, you can loot it but it exits out of the screen immediately, just say the corpse is bugged or something. Then, once your group gets out of the range where you can see the "Player has picked up [Item]" just run back during a pull and loot it.

lol...not always may work, but in AQ 20 i always leave raid take the box then ask the raid leader to invite me again..always work for me : D

SWEAR that you read it and looked it over about 10 times and thought it said BoE, then appologize :P

They'de figure it was a bad accident and might be mad as heck, but they couldn't do anything, and even if they say something to others, you could tell them it was an accident, and that you told the person who told the person that it was an accident

How about changing that spam to damage meters then? Just do it loads of times and then appologize and say your game was lagging
