i have something to add... This will, 90% of the time, get you out of trouble when your caught (and let you keep the booty)

When you say your late for work, and you try to rush... usually hell quickly put the item.... log really quickly after the trade... then log back in in a few minutes...
The guy will see that your on and will blame you that you owe him money
Just say that your the Owners "bro/sis"... and you don't know whats going on...
Then ask what your "bro/sis" did to that character and he will tell the story
Then just say that the character has x amount of gold (i usually put 2-4 pending on how much it was)
If everything has gone right then the person believes you...
And for extra measure just say your "bro/sis" just ran out the door so you decided to go on.
All you have to do to seal it up is say that the same thing happened to you... on a bigger scale like this... "Ya the same thing happened to me but on a bigger scale... I got out of 600g the guy traded but somehow it got deleted in the trade"
So after this guy has took in every lie you put out there... just say your going on your character or going to level your "sibling's" character (if your not level 70)
That excuse has gotten me out of countless reportings

i got better idea how to get away - make a level 1 char named like ghjfsuidfhsidf so the victim wont remember ur name easiliy - then after u succesfully scam someone send ur gold and item to ur main or other alt and delete ur "scam"alt. i think this might work pretty good. feel free to flame |

None of that works... i tried it all and they caught me in some way... apparently (Not to be picky) but my way seems to work best

make a level 1 with a really long name, after your done scaming with it delted it then remake the charcter with the same name only change the class of the character to fool blizzard. I got banned today cuz i forgot to delted it and rename it.  72 hour ban i think to. |

another idea for this-
do trade near mailbox, and send item to your main. Then log out (have a name with completley random letters like dojismeowmcfij, but put a word in the middle so he looks at that and not teh letters; he will look at meow and not pay any attention to the other letters) delete character, make one with the different letters, but same word (e.g. dojismewomcfiq), try to have it as close to other one as possible (flip around letters, switch letters, etc. try not to pst him, because then he can just look at the message. | | |
