I came up with this idea yesterday because i got sick of losing money on AH, I’m only a beginner on the market so i have lost and made a fair bit of money.
mostly on Trade Goods, but like most people Trade Goods became to small. 1-3g for each item doesn’t make me enough money anymore. But I’m not going to spend 150g on a [Shadowfang] just to try and sell it for 200g

I'll use the [Shadowfang] as an example since i forget the items I’ve done this with

So here is what I did.

Opened up an AH window, had a look around for some nice buys.
Hmmm [Shadowfang] for 100g buy out, bargain. This is a good buy on my server.
Don’t buy the item.

Now that I have found my item the next thing I do is post something like the following in the Trade Channel.
"WTS [Shadowfang] for 150g obo PST!"

After a few messages in the trade channel I get a message from someone.
"Hey, yeah I think I can do that. Just let me long on to my main"

Long story short he logged on his main and said sure ill buy.
I told him I would meet him at the Org Bank.
I clicked buy out on the [Shadowfang] then ran to the mail.

Straight from the mail box into the trade window and bam, an extra 50g.

I realise this varies on each server with prices, and players. But I would love some feedback.

they usualy go check the ah first before they buy anything.

yeah, i wasnt sure where to post it, i figured this is the best spot suited. since this seems to be where all the money making guides are. Sorry.

Smart people would check the AH but I've found some people still dont.
On my server some people still dont know what AH is lol...

well you're right, the first time i tried it i got it to work, i got excited and had to tell everyone lol. since then it hasn't worked...

I did do a search for a post like this but trouble is its too hard to find threads when you have no idea what to search for

anyways, ill stick to exploiting i seem to be better at those lol.

i use to do this alot then i got the idea o ya lets post it in the AH Cheaper then the highest buy out and them someone gets this isea and bam u just made some money cuz someone wants to do this wow what a better idea

Just post stuff in the Ah cheaper then the 2 highest prices and u basicly have a gantee sale lmao

Cuz poeple do this alot and they think they are making more but they arnt if u look at it

Cuz 1 if people buy ur stuff u get what u put the buy out for in the ah and plus ur deposit and its 100% less the hassle

I do this a lot, but usually i get people who check the AH, and say "OMGWTFHAX Its 50g cheaper on the AH! Why would i buy that? RANT RANT RANT RANT CRY"

I hate when people tell me that its cheaper. If its cheaper, they dont need to cry to me, buy the damn cheaper one.

Actually...people are quite hilarious when it comes to certain things...

Take for instance i was selling [Nightblade] for w/e....and some guy whispers me and sais "I'll buy for 300g" Keep in mind that I personally was hoping for 195...and he was offering 105 over that....and the funny part was....there was one in the AH for about 195 hahaha. so Like he was flying into IF from SW he said he'd meet me by the gryphon...So we were in a party and i was watching where he was going in stormwind to make sure he doesn't check the AH cause i was also waiting at the AH ready to buy it out if he went inside...cause i'd make money either way.. So he never does basically lmao and goes to IF and gives me 300g for it. and i just laughed the whole time. I think he went in later and found it but he didn't say anything.

Personnaly i think that buying stuff from AH is dumb when you can go get it yourself it may take longer but man is it worthit, like lets say i wnat a Krol Blade but i dont want to buy it then i go to the instance and then i get it. And you save more money.
