This is a good way to get some gold (to sell?).
Lot's of people dont want to pay for a server transfer theirselfes so some of them are willing to trade things such as a glider key for a server transfer, who cares.

How i got this to work:

I saw someone on Wowtrade asking for a server transfer, i said i could do it. So i contacted them on Msn and asked what server he plays etc etc. What he doesnt know is when he says his server, i made a level 1 on that server.

So when i come to the point that im going to transfer him, i say:"You need to logout otherwise i cant transfer your character" Wich is true.
So the guy logs out thinking your going to transfer him. But actually your going to log on his account and send all his gold to your level 1.

Convo:

Me: Hi, Were you looking for a character transfer?
He: Yes, can you do it for me? Ill give you a glider key.
Me: Seems nice. Ill do the transfer first as i dont have any +rep on this site.
He: Ok thanks.
Me: What server is your character on?
He: <Server> I want the 70 warlock to <other server>
Right now im already making a level on that server.
Me: Alright, if you can give me login info, i will transfer you. Please note that you must stay logged out when transfering.
He: ********* pass: *******
Me: Ok wait 2 mins.
In those 2 minutes i send gold to my account and i logout.

Pretty easy scam and since you go first it seems legit too, so always offer to go first. As in every scam, gain their trust.

Seems like a good scam!!! I would test it out but im not willing to get my account perma banned, when i can afford the money to buy a second account i'll try it.

You cant send or receive items on a trial account. Just put 1 linen cloth on AH for 500g and buyout on the character you scammed.

Yeah, thats how I got banned WTFX. But I am willing to try scamming gold again!
