I thaught of a scam while playing WoW and someone tricked me into dying.
What you do is :-
1.) Blame someone for doing an Exploit or Improper us of bugs.
2.) Say that you'll report them , unless they pay your ammount you want them to pay.
3.) They pay.
4.) You go and spend you gold on whatever you want.

Ehh.. This MAY work... Have you actually tested this?

I'll give this a try and see what happens, although I personally dont see many people falling for it. I personally would just whisper the person and tell them to go ahead and report me, and he will see your an idiot when he checks logs and finds that we have never spoken lol.

I'll re-post if anything interesting happens.

They could just report you and you'll get warned/banned.

Well, this can't work with ppl which actually know the rules good, just works with kiddys which are scared that their account can be banned.

When you report someone the GM will investigate the case. They dont just warn/ban people at random. Blizzard needs proof in order to warn/ban people. They can read everything you write.
