I had a friend tell me that it's a gimmick and that he wouldn't be buying one, then ironically he got his account hacked a week later and lost everything. Point is, this is very worth buying, even if you are someone who loses things easily. If you are forgetful like that, copy the code on the back of the authenticator on a piece of paper and keep that paper somewhere safe where you'll never lose it. Therefore, if you lose your key, you can unbind the key from the account by using the serial key you wrote down previously. |

If your browser is supported (IE and Firefox, not sure of other browsers), you can use Paypal plugin to get around this. Just go to the order page, and when it asks for payment, click on the down arrow next to P logo, select generate secure card. Paypal will make a one use credit card # that you can use to apply to the order for authenticator.
I've used this plugin on many sites that don't take Paypal without any problem.
If your browser is not supported, get Firefox. Don't use IE it's too exploitable anyway. |
