[How to] Take down Scammers websites

We all know that 99.9% of all the YouTube videos up saying "Free Gametime", "Free CD-Keys", "Free Level 80s", are all fake. Now, instead of letting other people who don't know about the scam and think it's legit. I suggest doing this.. This will make their websites "Reported Web Forgery", therefore making all the believers (usually) decide not to pass out their info. This is for FireFox, and may work for others, but I'm not sure.

1. Go to the scam website (EG: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])
2. Press "Help"
3. Select "Report Web Forgery..."
4. This will bring you to the Web Forgery Report page, where you tell why you reported the site, along with the URL to the said phisher.

Click the image to open in full size.

* If a website is only reported once, it probably won't be opted to a Web Forgery page, I suggest telling all your friends about this. It may take time, but does make scammers less successful and people who play this game won't lose their characters.

Your title is really really misleading.

This does not take down any scamming sites at all, it just notifies FireFox users when they've reached a page that people have said was "web forgery."

Most people on the internet still use Internet Explorer, so it only protects a small percentage of people anyways.

Good that you posted, but this is still common knowledge I'm pretty sure.

I'm pretty sure that Firefox only makes a difference for *some* phishing sites. Other than that, there's no difference between your vulnerability to scams in Firefox and IE.

And I'm saying that no one really cares if Firefox users get scammed either. At least, I don't think people really differ in how much they care for one browser over another.

Do you?

Internet Explorer users are typically very bad with computers, and don't know there are other Internet Browsers. But, yeah.

^This. If you're smart you don't use IE. Firefox has so much more win...

I use both Google Chrome and Firefox. I also have Opera, but I don't use it much. The one thing I don't have is IE. Lol..

Just becasue some people use internet explorer doesnt mean they arent smart lol but i suppose its waht you prefer, obv firefox has alot more security and is alot cooler but if you use the internet right and dont download from unreliable sources then your fine. Most people that fall for phishers ect are usually under 16 and are pretty pathetic imo.

If you fall for a phisher you have no one to blame but yourself, all you need is common sense and be able to read.

But back on topic, Thanks trollin may come useful to someone.
