I was thinking of teaching you guys a method that I've used for scamming for quite a while now, and its worked perfectly for me .
Why should you keep on trying in desperate moves of getting the Spectral Tiger scam working?
Instead, what I've done, is scam myself.
What I do is:
I have an account that I've scammed,
My own account
10,000 G.
Basically, I do the whole Spectral Tiger scenario, but roleplay with my own account, and I'm in this scenario using the account I've scammed to advertise the Spectral Tiger.
I follow all steps, and then pay the scammer account, sell the gold, and then I put in a GM ticket and say that I've become scammed. This works everytime, though, I use different accounts to do this.
To make this untrackable, just use your neighbors IP or VPN whilst logged onto the account you've scammed
Conclusion: Nothing loss, only gained 100$ :-)

Reputation: 29 Level up: 34%, 333 Points needed | | | a few problems with this
1. you need the gold before hand whilst the TCG scam gives you the gold
2. you have to keep switching accounts because blizz would catch you if you did it more than once with the same account
3. you're gonna need a lot of neighbors with unprotected wireless networks for the reason above (cept with IPs)
not a bad idea if you have a few accounts sitting around but i still dont think that it's great for the average scammer. for it though. |

That way the only thing blizzard can do if you keep doing this on the same account is deny your request. |

Well, most people has XX amount of gold, and if you do have it, you can try to increase it by X times. |

It seems like it could actually work.
I had the same idea but instead have my friend "scam" me instead of doing it myself.
Than he sells the gold, and right after I contact the GM and tell him gold was stolen.
He restores the gold, and I can sell it again for more profit. |

If they see that it's 2 different IP, and the trade was really made, then the restore WILL indeed restore the gold.
Be careful with this though, as after once or twice, the GM might flag your account and ask you to send an ID in to prove it is you, that you are not the scammer.
TLDR: Yes, GM do restore gold / items if it wasn't the person's fault that he/she has lost it.
