[NO QUESTIONS HERE] We do not condone scamming, this section is meant for people to read about scamming so they can prevent being scammed themselves.
First of all, my english aint that good so sorry for the typos!
Today i saw an hunter in Orgrimmar i saw an hunter. Guildles, pet named by its race (Cat, boar etc) and crappy armor for his level, AKA an bot wich (at that moment) being controlled by the owner of that bot.
Later i tought an scam wich might work. I havnt test it nor found it here on the forums.
Basicly what you do is: treathen him to report him to Bliz if he doesnt give you an amount of gold.
I tought of a chat like this:
Me: lol are you a bot?
Bot: now answer, bots dont answer even if their owner is controlling them atm.
Me: hm think i might report you, your account will be banned then.
Bot: what? i am no bot.
Me: orly? If ur not an bot, then u dont have to wurry if i report you for bot? Since u say ur not an bot, Bliz will not ban your account.
Bot: no answer probably.
Me: oke making the report now.
Bot: plz dont report me.
Me: why not? You say your not a bot, well then you have nothing to wurry about am i right?
Bot: yes..
Me: now since you are bot, u must have a lots of gold. How about this, send me (enter your amount of gold) and i wont report you?
From here it can go 2 directions
1. he agrees and sends u the amount of gold you ask, you laugh, and you can report him even after he gave u the gold lol.
2. he does /care and he will ignore you / report you (is threathen bannable?)
Anyways i havnt tested it yet, but i might be a way to scam those nasty botters!
BTW: a way to find botters wich are getting controlled by their owner, if you see a bot somewhere, just add him to your friend list. When your online check if one of your added bots is in one of the towns (like Orgrimmar or Stormwind)

And yes i freaking hate bots, why? becouse 9 of the 10 times im doing a 'slain' quest, a bot is killing al my quest mobs

i think this is a pretty lame scam. most Botters with any common sense use a Bank character.
Every bot needs to once and a whyle buy some new cheap armor on the AH. Like the bot i saw today. And most bots dont have bank alts, they are just one of the million bots of the gold selling websites.

I think it's a good idea, and should work. Only downside I see is that if the person went to a botting site that gives you a free powerlevel if banned, they just got another high level. Then you just helped them by reporting them.

if u said that to me ingame id /spit on you, this isnt scamming this is threatning at its worst. you'd prob be banned or suspended by blizz if they read the chat log anyways, im sure theyd bend or manipulate some rule so you and him were both banned.
that "bot" you saw wasn't a bot was a chinese farmer..even if you saw a bot he wouldn't react like that.
Chinese farmers:They bot/grind with shitty gear and try to make as much as gold as possible to sell.
People using Glider/IS or other bots: Most of us use these programs to level up and we never have shitty gear or pets named like that
Conclusion: You didn't see a bot you saw a chinese farmer and he could have reported you for harassment if he wanted to and you'd get banned.

i can tell you now that a chinese farmer will never report someone because they can only say hi -_- seriously.
ever heard of vocabularies? or.. chinese farmers may know how to type hi and the meaning :O - a chinese farmer never farms alone just so you know..search in youtube for chinese farmers and u'll see that they are alot together under the same roof and a manager that speaks english is always there.

lol u have no idea what talking about, since when do chinese farmers, are walking against a tree and trying to litterly walk true it? Oh and chinese farmers offcourse contiue to kill the mob if i attacked it before he did so i get loot and exp? Bots continue attacking, even if attacked it first, and they are also to stupid to walk around the tree/rock. lol i know the difference between a chineses farmer, and a bot so stfu.
