Free Profit from PC Game Store Retailers

1.) Head to a GameStop of your choice & Buy a Wrath of the Lich King Box.
2.) Open the Box, Take a picture of the CD-Key, or use it right then if you wish.
3.) Make small scratches on the CD, then Box it back up and take it to the Retailer you bought it from to return it & claim it doesn't work.
4.) They will give you a new Wrath box, and take your old one.
5.) Re-peat the same steps above, make sure you have your receipt, and take it to a Game Stop and explain the situation to them that they are closer to you than the other, and you'd like to return this because the CD doesn't work.
6.) They'll take the return, and give you a new box.
7. Sell the 2 CD-Key's that are unused for Profit.

It has worked for me several times, if you space it out right and scope the store for when there are different workers there, it can work more than once at the same store.

I've been doing this for awhile now, and just use the Profit you gained from selling the unused cd-key's to head to different retailers such as a Mall outlet store, and do the same thing, just make sure there are at least 2 of the same stores locally in town.

Effectively, this could work for any PC Game, but I only do it for World of Warcraft copies. I've made several hundred dollars doing this.

Some stores have a no-refund policy on things like this...make sure to google it / find out before you go and drop 30 bucks on another CD Key...I remember people posting this during the release of TBC on other forums & such.

Buy from stores that aren't just video game stores so they figure it's just a dud disc.

If the game disc has scratches on it, they MUST trade it out for another cd, usually they just give you a new box. (AKA NEW BOX = NEW CD-Key)

I never said anything about returning the box for a complete refund, the trick to this is you only pay the full retail price ONCE, and sell the CD-Key's that you took note of off the multiple boxes you received and sell them for profit. If you can't comprehend my post, just avoid it all together because you'll get caught the first time attempting this, even though its the easiest thing in the world to do.

You live in Houston? I live in alvin like 30 minutes from houston. LETS LAN IT THE **** UP. Also what i do is stroll up in walmart, just open the box in plain view and have a friend take picture of key then put back on shelf. 3 times employees have approached me and been like scuse me wtf u think ur doing, an di just say makig sure the cd is in there. I do this at like 1-3 am so the educated people that know about electronics aren't there. I have stolen over 20 cd keys doing this, and i also use to do cd game cars but i noticed now they only put one out at a time now, and also they now have a hard tag around the card and its in like a dvd box. awesome shit. LETS GO STEAL SHIT TOGETHER NEW BFF

This doesn't work in the UK, they will just say that you must of scratched it by accident whilst putting it in ur disc drive or something, i've tried it before.

What they will do is take the cd and replace it with another one.. what is optimal to do for this scan is to go buy the game at a store other than a store that sells only PC games.


something like kmart (aus) i wouldnt have a clue as to where you guys shop in america and so fourth. but i have done this plenty of times and it is great!
