long time leecher so here's my first contribution
Hey guys, this is a pretty sweet way to get CD keys for free. Please note: Do NOT do this more than once to the same shop
Requirements:
A Razor
Superglue
The scam is simple. Go and buy a copy of Wrath, so that your CD key is inside. Now go to your car and take the razor out.
See that thin line where the plastic is joined around the box? Take your razor and slowly slice that join in half. Making sure you keep the cellophane neat and un-crumpled.
Next you gently slide the box out of the cellophane and put the cellophane to one side (keep it looking new). Open the box and grab your CD key code. Now you have the tricky part.
You're going to slide the box back in...very slowly and carefully. Once it is in take out your superglue and, where you sliced the cellophane open, put a very thin line of glue on the cellophane. Glue it back up and wait for it to dry (a minute or two).
Now simply return the game saying you changed your mind (or some excuse)   |

person drives to store to buy a WOW game.
person returns 3-10 minutes returning the game, not even opened. Just that you changed your mind
As a former retail employee I can say for curtain, stuff like this puts you on their radar. I've seen scams go bad that you wouldn't have even known about. Also points against you if the parking lot security cameras catch you doing it in the car. |
