[GOLD SCAM]The Ten Dollar Two Man Con - MMOwned - World of Warcraft Exploits, Hacks, Bots and Guides

In this guide, as with all of my guides, you'll be conning gold to sell. Pure, raw, cry me a river when I /ignore you GOLD.

If this is a repost, I apologize, but my only other repost was hella-more detailed than the original, so read before flaming please.

Requirements:

- $10.00 USD

- A partner or yourself with a multiboxing setup.

- One scammed account, and one main account with 500g on it. (Yes, one of you will be using your main for this. 100% UNBANNABLE TO THE MAIN.)

In this con, we're basically going prey on the mark's trust. The most common question asked is, "How do I know you're not going to scam me and jack my gold," to which we have to waste precious server-hopping time to trick this numbnuts into giving us his gold. And as we all know, sometimes, even after 15 min, they still back out of the deal. So what we're going to do is once again modify the most lucrative con in the game: The TCG Con.

1. "I'll buy that for a dollar!"

In this first step, you or your partner will be spending cash. Well-earned, cold, hard cash. Recently on Ebay, I found numerous TABARD loot cards prices for ten bucks and below. Almost all of them had the buy it now symbol, so you could probably get it cheaper via auction, but why wait to save a buck? Oh, and remember to look at shipping costs, sometimes these ass-hats like to put a 100.00 shipping fee on a $5.00 buy-it-now to trick you.

Also to note, make sure you buy the card or cards a few hours to a day before you actually want to try this scam. Most of the people will send you the code via email if you don't want the card.

Now, ten dollars is the equivalent of 1428g based on the baseline exchange rate of $7.00 USD per every 1000WOWg. I tell you this because I want to reassure you that this small investment will pay off in the long run. So remember those numbers for reasons of margin.

2. "Come with me if you want to live!"

You and your partner are now ready to login. You on the scammed level 1, he/she should be on their main.

Here comes the point where you're going to get that "life-saving" trust from the mark(s). Using the "Act like Business" method that I prefer, announce that you are selling codes for the TCG and that you have all mounts, tabards, pets, and accessories.

Now, your partner will whisper you and ask about tabards. You do this for reason of chat logs, to make sure it looks like two strangers simply having and exchange in goods for gold. Nothing out of the ordinary. He opens trade with you, gives you the 500g mentioned above, and you chat to him the VALID CODE from the ebay purchase.

At this point, your partner will put in chat, "I just bought a code, lol. Wish me luck." Everyone in trade and in their guild will now be aware of this purchase.

Go to BB, cash'er in, and come back into town wearing your shiny new tabard...and make sure your seen.

Here's the trick, when your partner comes back into town, time it to where you're spamming trade again at the exact same time. So when you say, "Selling TCG codes," your partner can say, "Holy Shit! I didn't get scammed, lol. The code was legit. Kudos to you!"

If people want proof...he's wearing it.

3. "And your name is what?"

At this point, your partner will take his main and leave the city. He will go quest, go BG, go do something...but stay the hell outof trade and never rush to defend him when the flames come. It's too obvious when you do that. Just let him run his bag on the people who fell for it. For all the partner cares, the scammer is a complete stranger who just sold him a valid code. And chat logs will support that if worse comes to worse.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: After the con is over, the gold is sold and the day is done...someone may remember the partner as having vouched for the scammer. At this point, one of two things will happen:

A. The partner will get whisper-flamed that he was helping the scammer. Essentially they call it like it was. Don't flame back, but simply deny anything more than buying a tabard code that worked.

B. They report to a GM - GM traces the scammers actions back to you, to when you bought the code. You can act dumb, and chat logs will back you up as long as you followed the con/partner chat etiquette I listeed above. Either way, the Main account is safe, looking like a stool-pigeon.

4. "To the winner goes the spoils"

This is the part where I remind you how to split the gold.

Essentially, the person who's playing their main will multibox long enough to make a level 1 alt on the server. After the con is spent and no more money can be made, you'll rely on the honor of your partner to send you half of the gold taken in. So scam with someone you trust, or multibox by yourself.

Now...the math.

You spent 1428 (10.00) on the Tabard card, which you ended up keeping for your main anyway. On a normal night, I can bring in anywhere from 5-10k WOWg, which equates to 35-70. Using this con, where the trust is less of an issue, I estimate a gross take of anywhere between 20-30k WOWg because the whales (a rich player) aren't as hard pressed to part with gold since they've seen that your codes are valid. Hell, you could honestly clean-up if you play your cards right. So, based on a 20k WOWg take:

20,000G = $140.00 @ $7/K

You Spent 10.00 for the code

Total Profit 130.00 for a solo multibox

The Split: 65.00 a piece
