Surely, you have all seen The Usual Suspects, and the title shouldn't be something of a mystery. In this elaborate, well played scam, you can reap a crap ton of money with minimal work.


For those who haven't seen the movie, I won't ruin the ending, but the whole movie involves a group of criminals getting played by an almighty criminal force known only as Kaiser Soze. In this scam, you ARE Kaiser Soze.


All you need is a scammed account and a fake email. Something like Johnnypocket @ Yahoo.com. Don't make a WoWAccountHelp or something like that. This isn't that kind of scam.




ACT 1: The Line Up

You will begin by posting on the official WoW forums under a scammed account. Your post should read something like this.

TOPIC: Need Help Playing WoW!

Hey, RL is getting in the way of my playing. I need someone to help me out. I can offer you a lot of gold as payment. Just need some temp help until my class schedule lightens up a little bit, so I don't fall behind my guildies. Email me at (make a fake email address) with your toon name if you interested and I'll hit you up next time I'm on.

Remember to sound like a normal player. No tech jargon or professionalism.

Now, from the emails, armory the names for 70+.



ACT 2: Using the Help

Now, after finding the guys you want to use, email them back and tell them your true intentions. The email should read like this:

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. Check it, I had to post that on the forums because I couldn't just come out and say what I wanted to thanks to the mods. My name is Jacob and I actually wan to hire you. I am attempting to establish a ghood reputation in the World of Warcraft to start a business where I'll be selling codes for the WoW Trading Card Game loots. My problem is that I don't have time to level an 80 on every server, so people find it hard to trust me. You would be acting on my behalf, selling the codes as an 80. All of my codes are 100% verified and good to go. All I need is a salesman. I can offer you 1/3 of all profits made, paid via PayPal in cash, or in game gold. Let me know, because you're like the tenth person who has responded and I need to pick two.

Now, from this, some will reply with "No thanks" or not at all...but you will get about 1-3 nubs out of ten who will be up to it.


ACT 3: The Verbal Kint

Now, here is the meat of the scam. You will log into your pawn's server on a level 1 toon and whisper him. Tell him to go ahead and start advertising in chat. You do this because you have to act like a real businessman. You're not going to just give the guy codes and say, "Have fun." You tell him that when the time comes and he has gotten the gold, you will pass him the code via whisper and he can pass you the gold.

As promised, tell him to keep 1/3 of the gold, and give you the rest. Congrats...you just used a puppet to scam for you.

The greatest aspect of this scam is that you have nothing to worry about. You didn't do anything except whisper a fake code and get the gold. When the guy who bought the code finds out he's been screwed, who do you think he'll report?? That's right...your pawn.

To add to the realism, prep your pawn with rules and things to say in the event of spam attacks and harrassment. Be able to answer every question about your business if he asks, and NEVER let them get the best of you. Ever.

There ya go...have fun.

I still manage to sell codes from level one characters, got 6k just 2days ago and 3k yesterday. It's not even hard.. People will do anyting to "get" a Spectral Tiger ;P.
