Alright lets begin the scam:
1) Make a new lvl 1 Character, name him Bank something... or something with Bank in it. But if this can get your account banned then make a seperate account to get banned
2) Go to a Nearby City and start advertising "Selling WotLK KEY!! 5000g!! WHISPER ME!!"
3) Within moments you'll get some offers, some are stupid like 1g but some are interesting. Pick someone that is offering your asking price.
4) Tell them to meet you somewhere and trade you the gold, once they agree you shall have 5000g. This is bannable but don't worry.
5) Give them a fake code, like 0h25-06nku7-hpw6-ph57k2-7l1o or use one of the fake c-key generators that make legit looking codes.
6) Next: Once your victim gets the code he will either log out or go afk. It depends. Head to a nearby mailbox and mail the 5000g to your main!
7) Log out and delete the lvl 1 ASAP! Cause the victim will log in and start spamming to report him.
8) Use your 5000g on WHATEVER you want!
I haven't tried this JUST YET!

Reputation: 48 Level up: 21%, 397 Points needed |  | | I really doubt anyone would buy for 5000 gold, you can buy a key for about 20 dollars or less (not really sure ) but 5k gold costs about 200+ dollars. Why wouldn't they just sell the 5000 gold, and then buy a key, and keep the extra 180 bucks?

Also, I just thought just now, if you HAVE a wotlk key, you can just give him your used code! Then it would say already used, so it would probably give you a little more time as he thought what to do!

Tried it on 7 servers already , when i do the TCG scam i get like 1-10 whispers for each anouncement .
When i shout out ( nicely typed ) gamecard selling and WLK keys selling ..... it's all quiet ....
What amazed me is that nobody ever said " scammer " like they do with tcg scam.
oh, and don`t do the trade chit-chat in game . do it on messenger .

and since when does 5k gold sell for 200$ =o your getting ripped off lol if you buy it for that much
also I like the effort he put in considering hes under the status of leacher n hes trying to get out of it

crap like THIS doesn't deserve even 1 rep. No way anyone is going to pay 5,000 gold for a WotLK key. NO POSSIBLE WAY! when they could SELL that gold to a site and then buy 2 or 3 keys with the money they made.
