Run wow in windowed mode.
Walk up to auction house / AH.
Open Wowarmory.com
We all know that begging never works, but making them think you're from their guild does.
1. Find a high level guy, the higher, the more gold he will have.
2. Search his name in the armory, click on his guild.
3. Find someone high up in the guild rank, that you think might be one of the "popular" people.
4. Type "/who [popular person's name here]" check if they're on.
If they are online, go back to step 3, if not, go to step 5.
5. Tell them "Hey man I'm [popular person]'s alt, can I borrow [#] gold for *** ?
6. Chances are they will say "Yea sure" and hand you it.
*** - Reasons can be:
- I need some money to buy new skills
- I need to send some mail (Not recommended)
- I need to buy something off the AH before it disappears
Use these with any of the above:
- My main is far away from a mailbox
- My main is getting an error where he crashes whenever he enters a main city and he's in one now, so T can't log on.
For those that still don't get it, this scam isn't about begging, it's about acting like someone's guild member.
Chances are you will get 5G TOPS from someone, but if you become very proficient you can scam someone like this in ~2 minutes.
Ok, I might have lied about the 0%, but it's pretty damn close to it.

That's not the point, the point is that anyone who is rich enough to give away 5g is too lazy to report the person.

And so on and so on. Sorry dude this scam won't work |

#2, You CAN get banned for it, but even if they get suspicious, say hold on I'll hop on him/her right now, then just log off for a while so he forgets about you.
