Password Ban?

Hello, I am going to sound like a complete idiot... but I'll risk that.

I was playing WoW tonight and my whole screen sped up really fast then my PC crashed. I rebooted and tried to log back in but my password didn't work.

My friend is over and our PC's were connected on a LAN, but he has a WoW account too and doesn't know my password/isn't the type to pull pranks or anything so I doubt it was him.

Was I banned for something that I don't know about? All it said when I tried to log in was the usual "Information is not correct" prompt that you get for typing in bad passwords. The e-mail on my account was my brother's, I believe... so I'll hear from him if blizzard sends something... but I'd like to know before that happens if it does. Do you get some sort of prompt telling you you're banned if you are?

(Sorry for posting this here, I figured there would be plenty of ban experience in the scam section, and didn't know anywhere else to put it.)

Your "friend" stole your account for sure, beat him and cease contact.

If you get banned you get the message " Your account has been temporarily suspended . BLA BLA BLA " . If you don't get this message on logging in , then try typing your password sloooowwwwlyyy to make sure it`s the right one . If it fails ... well ... you`ve been scammed ^^ and run antivirus on your machine , to get rid of the keylogger in case there is one .
