WoW ScamsWorld of Warcraft Whitehat Scamming Methods ONLY.
[NO QUESTIONS HERE] We do not condone scamming, this section is meant for people to read about scamming so they can prevent being scammed themselves.
Edit: Added pics.
Don't mind the crappy quality of pics, didn't feel like firing up photoshop.
This is for educational purposes only, and is really useful if you don't want to lose access, to, uh, your email account.
Let's say you get access to a hotmail/live/msn email account, and don't want to lose access. Let's face it, if you do something, chances are they will change the password.
Now there's a way to prevent this from happening! (Note: It's NOT foolproof, they CAN find out, but it's not easily clear unless they are looking for it)
Step 1: Make a new hotmail account. Don't use it for anything at all, and use a dif password than you use for anything else.
Step 2: Log out. Go into the hotmail/live/msn account you want to retain access to in the future.
Step 3: Top right, click their name with a little arrow next to it. (Says "Sign out" below it usually)
Note: The layout can be different, but it will look similar.
Step 4: Click "Link Other Accounts".
Step 5: New page, click "Link an existing Windows Live ID".
Step 6: Enter the CURRENT email account's password in the top box, then enter the email account info (name/password) for the email account you just created.
That's it! Now you can log into your NEW email account, click the name on the top right, and select either email account from the drop down box.
TIPS: I usually name it something VERY similar. If it's "[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]", I name the new email account "[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]". Looks less suspicious if they ever do notice it.
