well. i used to play a game called guild wars. and it has a policy ish i dunno but they NEVER ban for this scam (dunno bout wow rate), gotta rely on stupidity cuz it worked on gw. dont flame for playing guild wars i learned and quit lol... here goes: (btw if it works its only low grade stuff)
spam something like. quitting wow ... giving away 70k gold and [link blinkstrike] if you find me and complete 5 ( can be any) tasks.
when you get the attention, start a raid with the 1st person to inv you then start inving the whispers. do things simple like say Note: all items will be returned the point in scavenger hunt it to prove your competition and take the prize. then go like. task 1 bring me ugh (a stack of [something] ) and so on...
Notes: this worked in guild wars because most of the stuff i asked could buy from vendors. eg ectoplasm/black dye..... i dont know if it works but i assume the average player of gw fell for it. lets bring this scam to wow. great for starting scammers. hell its what got me into scamming
