[NO QUESTIONS HERE] We do not condone scamming, this section is meant for people to read about scamming so they can prevent being scammed themselves.
This is so ridiculously obvious that I just had to make a topic when I thought off it. Nothing legendary about this one. Steps:
1. Go to Markeedragon/anything before WotLK hits
2. Trade/Sell your account. Do not give out your real last name, give a fake one.
3. Keep the armory in check and see when they hit 71-80, depending on how fast you want your account back. if you cannot check their armory(changed name/server) then just wait roughly 2 weeks/month to be sure.
4. Recall account using whatever method you prefer. I'm too lazy to look them up right now but they're tons of them here.
5. You'll have your account back and WotLK will be pumped onto it, along with a few more levels and maybe epics. Saving you the trouble.

Sucks if your character got transferred but it should still be a profit even then.
Might work renting them out to goldfarmers too.
Sold three TBC accounts in the past week and am doing this already, lol. Didn't think to post it, +REP.
However, I'd advise you NOT to rent them out to goldfarmers, they tend to get your accounts banned.
haha, great idea, the thing is that Alot of things may happen during the time. i did it 1 time, but i got it back after an 72 hour ban + tbc added (back in the old days ^^)
Also, if you're really lazy and don't mind missing out on Northrend content, then you can check the Armory until your character is level 80 or near it.
And, if the character WAS transfered off, and if it's US, you can just fill out this form: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Just say that you were hacked, and if you report it within 3 months of the transfer, they will most likely reverse the transfer and put it back on your realm and account. Unfortunately, all the progress that was made on it after you gave it away will be reversed, kinda making this all pointless.
So, as long as they don't transfer your char to a new account, then you can definitely profit well from this.

Just give them a fake last name whenever you sell it... That way they can't transfer and it's pure profit. And obviously as others said, let them get to 80. I'm going to do this a lot.
Yep, GTA is correct. If the account has your real last name though, they could possibly find your last name through a careful Google/white pages search.
