[Wotlk] Arena points after wotlk goes live

So, blizzard said they will remove our arena points when we level past 70, so i started thinking about if it was a way to get those points back.

I guess most of you have seen all the threads with getting pts back, getting 2 items for the price of 1 etc.

1. So just before you level 71, you buy arena items for everything you have, buying something you already have might incrase the chance to get points back.

2. You level up to 71 and the rest of arena points will be rested, but you still got your items, so you tell a gm, that you bought something you already have and you want the points back.

(Some gm's would just say no to this, but it might be some gm's that actually just give the points back without really thinking about it)

3. Hopefully you get some points now, and you have them ready to use when arena goes live at 80.

Since there is no way to test this before wotlk comes out, I can't guarentee if this works or not. But you got nothing to loose about doing this, the points will be reseted anyway, why not try getting something for it?

If you try getting points back for 2-3 items from 1 gm it might lower the chance to get any points back, if you try to get arena pts back from 1 and 1 item per gm I'd say it's a bigger chance.

I searched on the forum for this, but I could not find something about doing this when wotlk comes out.
Many will say, "common sense" etc, but it isn't really, I'm sure alot people haven't thought about it, and could get use of it.

Hope someone will get a use out of this.

Not sure if this would work because no gm would fall for this.
Not like they are going to help you exploit the points, therefore they will say sorry but you would have lost all of the points later anyway.

Yea as i said, some gm's wouldn't fall for this, but you got nothing to loose about doing it, you will loose the points anyway.
And I'm sure there are gm's out there that will fall for this, you just gotta be lucky and get the right one

/Agree but he is saying that you could use the points to instantly buy gear when you get to level 80.

However i doubt this will be possible Gms aren't as stupid as we believe, they are abiding by the rules when we scam them, they just don't know we are scamming them.

I have to say nice try but unlikely to work.

as thepickupartist is saying, this is not how to buy brutal gear(i'm sure most people know how to do that) and use it while leveling, its buying something from arena, getting the points back after you have dinged 71.

im pretty sure your arena points also reset at level 76 aswell because ther is also a level 71-75 bracket so this would not work unless you can level to 79 before it is too long to get your items refunded

Not even worthy of being posted-- GMs will be informed of all known loopholes-- and the first week of WOTLK is the WORST time to attempt a scam like this-- because the GM staff will most likely be doubled and they will be on the lookout for these types of issues, so even if it works one time-- it will most likely be nerfed shortly thereafter

And I'm pretty sure it wont reset at 76, I know its arena for 71-75 and 76-79 or something, but that's only skirmish.
Rated arena's will only be for 70's and 80's.

What's useless about getting up to 4-5k extra arena points when arena goes live at 80?

You can still lvl a alt some weeks later and do the same thing.

so even if it works one time-- it will most likely be nerfed shortly thereafter

If you get it to work 1 time, then you get something out of it.
