Re: Scamming Websites - 11-21-2007

Why would you have to go through this process? Why can't you just use your character to purchase gold and just have the payment redacted by your bank? It's against Blizzard policy to sell virtual currency so, duh, the seller is not going to go to Blizzard for anything and they otherwise have no proof. And even if they had proof, they cannot prosecute you for selling virtual property since that property belongs to Blizzard.

See Blizzard-WoW Terms of Service Sec. 8 -------

Quote:
Ownership/Selling of the Account or Virtual Items.

Blizzard does not recognize the transfer of Accounts. You may not purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, or offer to purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, and any such attempt shall be null and void. Blizzard owns, has licensed, or otherwise has rights to all of the content that appears in the Program. You agree that you have no right or title in or to any such content, including the virtual goods or currency appearing or originating in the Game, or any other attributes associated with the Account or stored on the Service. Blizzard does not recognize any virtual property transfers executed outside of the Game or the purported sale, gift or trade in the "real world" of anything related to the Game. Accordingly, you may not sell items for "real" money or otherwise exchange items for value outside of the Game.

This is a well written guide, but it would really be too much stress for me.

If I wanted to make much money illegaly i would keep selling speed.

Re: Scamming Websites - 11-29-2007

All I can say is just WoW. <-- Pun intended. Incredible, truthfully, words cannot describe the ingenuity of this scam........ I love the sarcastic tone in the attack on going to court: "IN THE EXTREMELY UNFORTUNATE EVENT THAT THE PLANETS ALIGN, PIGS FLY, AND YOU ARE FOUND GUILTY?!? Pay for the gold." XD Seriously..... Mag, I would <3 to buy from your business. I'd honestly love if you could send me a private message with information for buying.... *hint hint* And I do have ONE question as well:

Where might I procure a prepaid CCard that does NOT require a Social Security Number for activation?

And I have an answer to some people who wonder about the fraud charges (Actually from the First Part) :

The best way to do it would be to order in the middle of the month (Around the 20th, probably) and wait until you get your bill from the CCard company for the month--Simply 'review the statement' and call them about it--It's a bit of common sense really, because they could check and find that they had NOT sent a statement since you ordered it, and there is logically NO WAY for you to have known about the charges unless they were LEGITIMATE, and as a result you WILL get sued and sent to jail for CREDIT CARD FRAUD. This could be a valid point to add to the guide, because that IS a serious issue that is definitely possible. But yes, truly Blizzard is something of a scammer in themselves, trapped by their own rules.

Remember that a scam is only as good as the scammer who uses it! Though this IS an excellent scam, I would NOT reccommend it to someone without any experience! Yes, Online LiveChat with the company is simpler due to the anonymity of the keyboard in case you start 'feeling guilty.' That is a common case in several newbie scammers, for they have yet to lose most moral values *Wink* It does take serious commitment to follow through with this one.

WoW @ the scam and Mag!

WHen you got one ! Please Tell me ! xD
By the way, it doesn't matter if it's PayPal or not, you can still call it a fradulent charge, perhaps one by someone who got your CCard number.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
DO NOT USE A 'DEBIT CARD' FOR THIS! ONLY A CREDIT CARD WILL WORK! The reason? Debit Cards are run by the bank--My mother was scammed badly over this issue because my little brother attempted something similar to this, knowing that she would refuse the charges, but not realizing the issues at hand:
A bank cannot refund money sent online through a Debit Card due to policies of online transfer. They cannot lawfully conduct 'investigations' due to this fact. The money was in your actual account, and therefore is already gone, transferred away--you cannot retrieve it.
A credit card company, however, gives the money from their OWN piggy bank, and YOU pay them back. THIS is why they can retrieve the money, they almost literally pay cash to the company, and you don't actually pay a thing.

Another little tip, Mag? You can even dispute the account charge if you don't have any real 'online gaming' charges on that same credit card--this shows that you do NOT play games on there (Even if you do!)

And please, don't be stupid. Don't use the SAME credit card eight times in a row for this scam.... They'll fall for it every now and then (At least a year between claims) But not three months in a row. You WILL be convicted of Fraud if you attempt something that stupid. Please, I beg of you, in the name of intelligence, (And getting educated past third grade) move cards around! And don't use a company more than once every two months if you have a bad credit score--they'll already be on alert for you due to that fact. Use prepaids as often as possible.

Pretty smart thinking, man.
I've been doing this to get free name changes, pay $10 on CC then just dispute payment and claim ignorance... Lol.

I was wondering if, it's smart to pay directly by "Master Card", it's my brothers, and yes, I do have the permission. But,
canceling the payment seems to be risky, and I dont want to get caught for "Fraud". So, could I do it with, get the money,
then go on live help. And, say I haven't gotten them etc. Without any risk?
