Ilikrusyspoons' Scam for Thousands of Gold!
Alright, so recently I got my account banned (for a reason unrelated to this thread) and if I get it back I've decided to stop scamming for good. Because of this I wanted to share my scam with all of you MMowned users.
The scam is basically a compilation of various methods I picked up on the site, as well as some ideas I thought of myself. Although all these ideas arn't original, when combined correctly you will almost always be successful.
Step 1: The Start
Gain access to a number of accounts, whether you have only the name and password, or full information you will still be fine. My preferred method is by using a phising site. To make your own phising site, check out Tanaxia's guide.[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] If you're too lazy/can't figure out how to make a phisher, there's still hope for you! Some phishing sites' logs can easily be accessed. Just change the end of the link to /logs.html
For example, if the site was blizzsignup.com, just change the url to blizzsignup.com/logs.htm. If the phishing website is hosted by h1.*********** just add /94ja2.html to the end of the url. After you find a site that lets you access the logs bookmark the page and feel free to keep leeching accounts off of it. I recommend changing the password of the account right away so the phisher owner doesn't have a chance to control it.
Tip: Many phising sites can be found by searching WoW sign up on Youtube
Step 2: Set-up
Log on to one of your new accounts, and create 3 characters on whichever server you would like the gold on.
Name one character something that is hard to remember, such as llanillil (Has lots of l's and i's so its harder for someone to remember and report you to a GM).
Name the second character anything you want.
Name the third character something thats hard to report again, for this one I like to use acii letters. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Your character creating screen should end up looking something like this,
Run your first character to Stormwind (or Org if you're horde), run the second one to Goldshire (Ratchet for Horde), and the third one to Stormwind (Org for horde)
Also run a character from whichever account you want to receive the gold on to that city and station him there.
After you've set up your characters, log out and head to the WoW forums of whichever server you want the gold on.
Make a post on the forums with the title stating you want to sell Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger. Here's an example of a post I made,
"Hey everyone, I'm re-rolling on this server so I can play with friends and I'm looking to sell my Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger to get me gold to start me off for some quick leveling. This item is very rare, and is no longer in production. I'd like to have a phone call and/or vent conversation with whoever I do the trade with. Selling to either Alliance or Horde. Please post a reply here if your interested, or contact me at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]"
Next wait for the noobs to respond, if you posted your thread with a level 70 you will likely have many people replying in your thread as well emailing you.
Tip: It work's much better if your posting on a level 70 account, preferably with good gear. Hopefully you gained access to one of these with your phisher.
Step 3: The Deal
Set up a deal with your corespondents, tell them you will contact them in-game. Log onto your first character that you created in Step 1. When you contact them talk to them for a while, act convincing, tell them how you got the code and all about your plans for rerolling on the server. They may ask you a few questions, I'll list a few below and show you the correct answer for them.
Q: How many digits is the code?
A: 25
Q: Where did you get the code?
A: I got the code from playing the card game, I got it on my 4'th pack, I was so pumped.
Q: How come you didn't use the code yourself?
A: Well, I've been planning on re-rolling on this server for a long time and I wanted to get money on it to get me started, I didn't want to waste the card on my main which I'm not really going to play any more
They will most likely want to get the code first. Tell them you don't really feel comfortable with this. Say you have many other people who you can do the deal with and most likely one of them will pay first, act firm but not mean. They will most likely cave in as they want to be the only one on their server with this rare mount.
Next, they may ask for a phone call or vent conversation, oblige them. Give them your cell phone number, there is no way they can trace this back to you and the most they will do is call you a few times. If you don't feel comfortable giving up your phone number, ask them if they would mind using vent, say you don't want to pay for long distance fees on your phone.
Once they give you the money, Give them a code, codes are alway 25 digits, and start with a letter. They can be generated by downloading the link in this thread, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Step 4: Washing the Gold While the person you scammed is heading to Booty Bay quickly head to a mail box. Mail all the money you made to the second character you created on this server. Tell the person you scammed that you'll be right back, you just need to relog quick. Log out and get onto the second character you created. Get your gold and then send it to the third character you created. Move character #3 near a auction house or bank.
Next, set your WoW to windowed mode. Options > Video > check Windowed mode > uncheck maximized
Leave the WoW account with the scammed money on it up and open up a second WoW window, this time log into the account that you want to receive the money on. Set this WoW account to windowed mode as well so you have two WoW's running at the same time next to each other.
Click on your scammed account's WoW and do a /y Giving away free gold at the Bank/AH, just open trade! Plenty of random noobs will run up to you and ask for gold, give about 3 noobs small quanities of gold, (such as 3 gold each). Then have your account that you want the gold on open a trade with the scammed account. Trade all the money you received from the Tiger scam.
Next, exit the account that you just received the gold on, and log out of the scammed account. Delete your characters you scammed the gold and recreate them a few times. (This messes up Blizzards logs).
You've completed the scam! Hopefully you now have enough gold to buy that new item you need, or that epic flyer. I've scammed 10k gold with this scam just during one sell, but I'm sure you could get even more for it.
Summary:
Get an account you don't mind being banned
Set up your characters in the main city
Make a post on the forums
Pull off your scam
Wash the gold

The new part is making a post on the forums, you will hardly get any people calling you a scammer and it seems much more legit. This way you can avoid all the people in /1 calling you a scammer because you never advertise in the channel.
