Free WoW Related Items from Wal-Mart!

First off, sorry if this is a repost at all. Haven't been on the forums in ages, just now started again. Now that I'm done with my introduction, here it goes.

Walk into your local Wal-Mart. Grab a cart, and just walk around. You want to grab some clothes, maybe a couple pants and a shirt, and put them in your cart. Then you go to where your WoW items are located; take them, and put them on top of your clothes. Go back, get a few more clothes, so that the WoW items are covered. Now, wheel your cart to the dressing rooms, and pick up the WHOLE pile. That means the clothes on the bottom, the games/cd keys/timecards, and the clothes on top.

Now, Wal-Mart doesn't have cameras in the dressing room's, for obvious reasons. You take your pile of games and clothes into the dressing room. Now you can easily open the boxes, take the cd keys, time cards, whatever, and then just put the pile back into your cart. Leave it somewhere and just leave.

Well, there are two things. One, you have complete privacy. You'd be very dumb to get caught. Second, you can actually resist being taken in their "back room" or whatever. As stupid as it sounds, if they ask you to come with them (IE a manager or employee) you can say no, and walk out. Some new shit I read about, a lot of people were laughing about it.

Actually, this is true. You don't have to listen to them because they aren't any type of law enforcement. But if a cop is on duty and tells you then you have to go. Try not to pick one of those days. If you do get caught, and ask you with you refusing, they will more then likely call the cops so you better hurry up out of there.

Yeah, if you walk out you are okay, but it is not easy to get caught doing this if you do it right. Especially if you just copy the CD key onto a piece of paper or something.

Even if it is a cop, there are limits to what they can do.

So, this would work with pre-paid cards and such as well? I mean, would it be spotted if you actually activated the card? I know that happens with cell phones and stuff, but I'm stupid on the pre-paid subject.

Ehh.. guy's , one thing here.

The idea is all neat and stuff... But...

Imagine a kid buying the card, going home, cheerfully opening the box and he/she notices the layer is scratched.
The poor poor kid calls Blizzard, Blizzard runs an investigation, will probably ask the poor poor kid for some evidence, well, whatever, it can all be taken care of.

Blizzard will track down the account which uses the stolen key and
BAM - BAN - PERMABAN!

I don't think so; I've been gettings gamecards/cd-keys with my own way for free for a while now (2 years). What I do is take the item with me out the door. For a CD-key all you need is the first paper case for the first CD and you can throw the rest away later or place it back in the game isle. For gamecards, I just typically leave the case wherever I got the card out, put the card in my wallet, and walk out.

Not to mention if that situation did happen where the kid calls Blizzard, you could always make the arguement that your friend gave you the code or card.

"O no, i did not kill the man, my friend did. I was just standing next to him and watching. But no, i did not do anything"

I think that excuse will not work.

However, it kind of surprises me that you have not been caught yet.

It may or may not, but that's why I take the card out with me and if I take CD-keys I typically throw away everything besides what I need. It's not hard to get away with either, as long as you aren't an idiot you'll be fine. Also, I DON'T believe you CAN get caught if you take the game card with you, as I don't think they have a way of tracing what game card was in what box because I'm pretty sure they don't make the serial number on the box correspond to the game card code.

So you do not put the CD key boxes back..
How do you ditch them? Do you look for a garbage bin or something..?

I don't put the boxes back, when I steal the cd-keys I normally do it in a stall in the restroom and wait until the coast is clear to toss the box in the trashcan in the restroom. However, that's only because those boxes take a little more effort to open discreetly. The game cards on the other hand, I normally walk around and slowly pick off the tape and when the coast is clear I just open the case, take out the game card, strip off the security tag, then dump the case wherever.

Those methods have worked for me for two years and I haven't been caught yet.

And when they find the box it is to late...
Sweet...

But what if they check back the security cams.
The first thing i would do if i find more of these boxes in a store i work in i would check the tapes.
/I am a little worst case scenario-ish\
