Mine was two guides, and I still got banned for 3 days for scamming. I sent in an email and about two weeks later they responded and reduced it to a warning for 'Advertising.' So you'll still get banned if you send actual guides, but you can get it taken off your account record at least..

Yeah , there has been reports of temp bannings for sending CODs with real guides included too . But what i hate about this is the fact that sending real guides does not go against any of the rules , but those damn lazy GMs must feel so good about themselves when they press that ban button that they ban people for nothing anyway . I bet that if i would have created this thread in the guides section instead of the scam section then nobody would have got banned .

heh, yeah dude. what i like to do is wait a couple of weeks or a month or 2 after scams come out on these fourms to do them. like the gold dupe exploit with the name change. after it came out everyone did it and they caught on. i did it yesterday, nothing happened =]

It's a scam because you are linking to a FREE guide =p
If you link to a guide you made yourself np with that. Even tho I'm not sure if its against the ToS...
Sending too many letters could be risky, since they would spam their guildchat or the trade channel, I'd guess try to find newer players (you can usually tell if someone is new to the game by how their levels go up, and if it goes slowly its only ++ for them to have a guide lol)
