Ok Well it kinda will take a noob to fall for this but here is how the scam goes.
. Make sure there is no other of the items in AH, or noone else is selling it.
2. Make an alt
3. Send one of the items to your alt
4. Put the item on your alt into the ah for a price higher than what it is worth, say if its worth 400g put in for 600g
5. On your other toon say WTS [The Item] in trade for cheaper than the one in ah, maybe about 500g?
6. Atleast 1 noob will check the AH to see how much they r, they will see 600g and buy yours because they think its 100g cheaper.
It worked for me and i didnt find any other threads liek this so dont get all mad it if it has been posted |

Reputation: 9 | | | no i do not believe this is a repost though there are things like it. the only thing about this is that it requires you to have at least 2 of the item. though it can be useful to get way more money than what something is worth.
the other AH scam you might be thinking of is the one where you put an item on on an alt and on a different alt say you want to buy that item for maybe 50-200g more than the AH, (being in Shatt works since its a major city with trade channel and no AH) and most likely someone will buy yours and want to sell it back to you at which point in time you simply say someone already has one. |

U put an item, dont log out, and u tell friend to /trade in city and as soon as he got some willing to buy u take item from AH, give to friend and he sell the item. I did it 2 times with friend and gave him 20G as a favor |

Put an item on the AH, say for like 300G. Or whatever, more then it's worth...
Then post on your main: "WTB: [ITEM] 400G PST"
Go on ANOTHER ALT and be like "There's one in the AH for 300G!"
Someone will see and buy it out thinking they can sell it to you for a profit.  |
