when you do steal it, stick them ontop of a couple of stereo magnets. that way, people wont try using the key because they can't install the game anyways

That's retarded. Making the account is separate from installing the game, so you would be making twice the risk for nothing. Waste to ruin the CD's, it doesn't accomplish anything for you.

This could yield you jail time, correct? I mean, if I were to do something like this, it would be a little different. I would buy the battlechest, go out to my car, drive to a different parking lot, and then open the battlechest and get the key as quickly as possible. Then I would go back to the Best Buy and claim that as I was starting on my way home while waiting at a red light, I noticed the box seemed like it had been carefully opened and then re-sealed.

They would most likely ask if you wanted to exchange it for another one, in which case, I would say yes to keep the suspicion level low. Now, you still spent $30, but it will have yielded you 2 CD Keys. It would probably be a much safer way to do this scam in my opinion. Just my 2c
