Here is what I did.

I made a trail account.
Then I announced my real account for sale on random forum.
I told people that I wanted to trade my account and that I had all the info needed.

They asked me to meet in game, so I did that with my main char on the real account.

Then we started to exchange info.

And as you can understand, all the info I gave him was the trail account.
And he gave me all of his real info!

Because he saw your character in game(your main ) and afer I scam he can report you!

when i scam i ALWAYS give them a trial so if the check to see if the mail is changed they look on the forgot password and i have actually changed it on the trial :P but have seen this many times before as i always do it ...

best to use on a scammed account since trial accounts cant use /2 /1 or /y only /s

I dont think that he's going to get banned. What should they say? "I was going to trade my account with *** and he scamed me please ban him" ? Dont think that they will believe it.

I really dont think that blizzard would ban your account for this.
wtf should the victim say? "I tried to buy an account (which is illigal), and then I got tricked, please ban him"
And say that the GM belives you, its impossible to draw a connection between your msn/aim (or whatever) to your account. And then I assume that no one here is that stupid that they use the same mail to scam as your contact info on your account.

They could bust you on ingame chat, but when I did it I said "hello, *mymsnnick* here"
then he inspected me and then I left.
