| Simple trade scam. This is my first scam post. I got the idea from the method I use to annoy beggars in SW. It only works about 1 in 15 to 20 times, but when it does it can be profitable. 1.) Wait for someone to start begging for money in trade. 2.) People will typically respond with "go farm for cash" etc. Find the level 70's that are replying and whisper them, the conversation typically goes like this: Whisper: <Me> God I hate beggars! Whisper: <mymark> yeah, they should just farm like we did. Whisper: <Me> I like to drop like 1000g in the trade window and then go AFK Whisper: <Me> They just keep whispering OMG, TY, R U THERE? Its hilarious Whisper: <mymark> omg, that is so funny, i will have to try that. Do this to any 70s that where bitching in the channel that the beggar was on. 3.) Hop on a low level alt about 30 minutes later and find the people whom you whispered previously. (Hopefully they will still be in the same city). 4.) Whisper them asking for gold with terrible english "can U give me sum gold? i need to trane skillz" 5.) Almost all of them will remember what you said earlier about dropping gold in trade window and going AFK, some will open trade and pop in a few hundred gold and just leave the window open but unclicked. However, OCCASSIONALLY one of them will just instinctively click the trade button out of habit. Click trade quickly and say "OMG, thank you so much!" and log out. Like I said it only works every so often, but you can make a couple thousand gold in a week doing this. And I don't think they can really complain too much since it was their own stupidity that lost them the cash. Good luck! (I don't know if this has been posted before, I searched but didn't find it) |

| Essentially, stupidity and habit. But what scams don't rely at least in some part on lack of forethought by the mark? |

| What scams don't rely on stupidity? [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] This one, unless he understands Blizzard policy and rules at the finest level. But it still doesn't matter, not all scams have to rely on an IQ of 6
