Similar posts may be around although I have a simple process which if done well could prove successfully gaining a high level character
1. wowtrade.dk
2 Find reasonable account looking to trade - they usually advertise their email
-add thier hotmail
3. Before even starting to negotiate - Find what their looking for on the wow armory and then send the link explain this is the character you're wishing to trade
4. When the victim is next online start talking about how you're very keen to trade accounts and you have exactly what they are looking for, however you only trade using a simple proccess.
SEND THEM THE BELOW MESSAGE
Ok, this is how I usually do my character trades (done a few before lol)
1. First we each change are account emails (for instant I change my account email to your email and you do the same)
2. We trade secret questions and answer -
this verifies none of us can steal the account back after we trade
3. We exchange Account names
4. We meet each other in game to show the trade is legit – I won’t trade unless this happens
5. Finally we exchange passwords over MSN

If you're lucky they will agree to this, this process is mainly for people without an actual good character, this way allows you to regain their password before even meeting in game.
A helpful tip when choosing a victim, often go with the people who haven't traded accounts before or people who have traded before and don't have the complete information such as ID scan etc.
If you do however have a 70 character that the victim is looking for, simply meet the person in game then give false informaion =)
EASY
When testing this scam I came across a few people who had already been scammed of their account so could not continue, just goes to show it works.
