VERY simple way to scam gold seller I thought of a very simple way to scam a gold seller that worked without any trouble at all for me. First purchase an amount of gold from a gold seller who sends the gold through in-game mail. (this part is very important for the scam to work) The gold seller I used sent me an email to my gmail account when they sent the gold, so I went to the game to check and make sure it was there. wait 24 hours. Go back to the gold sellers website, and use their help chat or email form and say: "I recieved the email stating that my order has been delivered yesterday, but 24 hours later I have not recieved any gold in my ingame mail." a little while later, they replied to my email saying "sorry for the inconveniience blah blah " and that they had sent my order again. so I got 2000 gold for the price of 1000! I am sure i am not the first person to think to do this, but i havent seen anything about it.

A lot of gold selling websites screenshot that sort of thing, I suppose you could talk that person into thinking that the transferrer pretended to send the gold (I.E. just took a screenshot of a filled mail form but never actually sending the mail) but I think you would be lucky to pull this off.

well i figured that they had some sort of mechanism to show that they did it.. but the scam worked when i tried. Im not saying it would work everytime, but its worth a try if you are buying gold anyway.

It should work. Only reason I say this is because when I bought gold I actually did get confirmation of gold sent several times on several orders but didn't receive anything. What they told me was that blizzard has a "controversial" practice of intercepting gold from gold sellers and would resend it. This is why the "AH method" was introduced with some sellers. So it should work but I don't think they will keep falling for it. It's a limited use scam.

I told the person I wanted an in game trade, face to face, and they mailed it anyways. On top of it, I used the pay 0.01$ for gold to buy 6000g... But yea I yelled at them for mailing it to me and told them Blizzard deleted it. Made 12k, they called me later asking for more money lol oops =P The site I used was itemchannel.com or something, but the 0.01$ for gold scam doesn't work, they caught on lol.
