Throughout time, there has never been an easier sucker to sucker than a close friend. It's sad, but hella true.
PART 1: SLIM SHADY
Now you've been in a guild for a while, you've made your friends, and have a good rank amongst the team. You raid, you plunder Ally cities (I say Ally because the allies have never plundered jack, they just attempt) and you run PMs together. Everyone knows you, by name, and call when they need help. You're a helluva guy!
PART 2: NO-NO-NO-NOTORIOUS
(For this step, you may, or may not need another toon)
One day, while looking through the guild bank, you suddenly realize, "OMG. We're out of KHORIUM ORE! Shit!) So, for the sake of guildies seeing it, post in /2 that you WTB Khorium Ore in BULK.
[Guild] You: Hey GM, we have no khorium, but I found a dude willing to sell me 40 stacks for 800g. Bitch ass will only sell in bulk though.
[Guild] GM: No shit? Hmmmm...
The GM, if he's worth a damn will normally either check, or have an officer check the AH. They may even want to whisper the dude selling. But, if you have enough trust, the GM should agree that you can have some gold from Gbank to refill your stock of Khorium (or whatever).
PART 3: U SO GANGSTA
If you carefully managed step 2, then you're 800g richer. Just tell your GM that so and so just scammed you, and that you're opening a ticket. Bow apologetically, and do a few group runs to make up for it. Overall, they won't get pissed because it's you. You're their friend. Why would scam them?
(Note: This would be a failure against my guild because everyone there is 1337 with maxed skills, and I'm a loyal SOB to my people. We'd just farm more khorium in an hour, and have more money than God anyway. So pick a half-shit guild. Not a whole-shit guild...just half.)

Reputation: 52 | | | yes it was a pretty good idea except for the fact that why would the gm waste his time trading you the gold when he can buy it himself. also this is a very slow way to get gold just to gain the GM's trust will take you a while. I say you just stick with selling spectral mounts which people will buy off you for 3k gold.... And yes i have done it many times so don't say it doesn't work |

The TCG needs to be on a rotation with other scams. Night after night of /w WTS SPECTRAL Codes is retarded. First, you're thinking that the people on that server suddenly disappear after you scam them. Second, you may have been able to get 3k back in August, but nowadays you'll be lucky to get a grand. I pulled 1500 the other night but this guy was in dungeon blues and quest greens...so not the most seasoned 70.
STOP WITH THE "TCG PWNSNOOBSAIBOTBBQSAUZ." While its an easy, less complex scam, it is not a scam you can repeat over and over without the risk of being busted getting higher and higher. Once you've mastered the concept of the TCG, graduate to the bigger and better scams.
This is simply a filler scam for when you need that little extra. This should no way be a nightly or even rotational scam. And for the dude who asked why not farm, or why can't the GM buy it himself...you need to reevaluate your intelligence when it comes to reading, comprehension, copmmon sense, and rebuttal.
